The half-yearly report of tho London Bank of Australia shows a loss of £4396. The sum of £1811 is recommended to be carried forward. The statement of accounts shows £3,710,087 Government and other deposits ; £1,498,136 cash ; £1,274,401 bills ; and other assets £5,740,063. The half-yearly report of the Scottish and Australian Investment Co. shows a profit of £7890, and a dividend of 2£ per cent, is recommended. A sum of £1640 is carried forward.
