EVENING POST SUBSCRIPTIONLIST.

The following additional sums have been received at the EATjaNG Post publishing office in aid of the sufferers by the Hawkes Bay floods: — Amount acknowledged, £223 14s 6d; A Friend, £5; F.J.R., 10s ; Mrs. Dowdeswell, 10s ; Hastwell, £1. Total to date, £230 14s 6d. The amount already received by the Town Clerk of Wellington in aid of the sufferers by the Hawkes Bay floods is £610. The following are the latest subscriptions : — Hospital staff, £5 6s ; A Friend, £1 Is. The Mayor of Petone (Mr. R. C. Kirk) ■will he glad to meet any ladies and gentlemen interested in raising further amounts towards the funds at the Borough Council offices at 7.30 o'clock on Wednesday evening next, for the purpose of arranging a popular entertainment in connection with Messrs. Chapman and Shortt's exhibition of limelight views. Mr. P. Bartholomew and the employe's of his sawmill at Levin have donated £13 11s to the Hawkes Bay Relief Fund. The St. John's Young Women's Dorcas Society, aided by the Ladies' Dorcas Society, met twice last week, and manufactured 60 articles of dress for the use of the sufferers by the Hawkes Bay floods. The articles are to be despatched to the Mayor of Napier on Tuesday. The receipts at the concert held at JohnBonville last week in aid of the Hawkes Bay Belief Fund amounted to £22. The expenses were £3 14s, leaving a balance for the fund of £18 6s. The following subscriptions in aid of the Hawkes Bay sufferers have been collected by Mrs. Bowman and handed over to Mr. It. C. Kirk, Mayor of Petone :— D. Wilkie, £1 Is; C. Bradshaw, C. and P. Priest, H. Datnant, James H. Jackson, John Barrett, and James Percy, 5s each j M. M'Whirter, E. Maidment, W. Kroner, W. Jounnax, and A Friend, 2s 6d each ; Mrs. Platt,, A Triend (2), 2s each , W. Thompson, Mrs. Brown and A Friend, Is each ; total £3 12s Gd. Church of Christ, Petone, 15s 7d.
