The handicaps appear to have been carefully compiled, and good acceptances should,' be receivedi ved for the majority of the events, especially for the hack races. Trains leave j Wellington Station for the courso at 10.25 { a.m., 10.55 a.m., 12.5 p.m., and 1.15 p.m. The acceptances are not due till to-night, and therefore one is placed at a disadvantage in selecting possible winners. My anticipations, however, are as follows : — Hutt Handicap. — Pompom. Hack Welter. — Muscatel. Autumn Handicap. — St. Paul. Second Hurdles.— Tally-ho. . Suburban Handicap. — Barshot. Hack Flying.— The Major or The Archer. Farewell Handicap.— Goldspur.
