♦ SOME OP THE RESULTS. [PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Sofia, 30th Decembef. The trial of the large number of prisoners implicated in the murder of M. Stambouloff at Sofia in July, 1895, has concluded. M. Tufckthieff, who was known to have been at deadly enmity with the deoeased statesman, and whom the latter recognised as one of hit assailants, has been sentenced, together with an accomplice named Atzow, to three years' imprisonment. M. Georgiff, an intimate of the late Major Panitza (the officer whose arrest and execution for alleged complicity, in a plot to assassinate Prince Ferdinand and overthrow the Stambouloff Government were the subject of a sensation in 1890), and who also was recognised by Stambouloff, has been acquitted.
