' a the match United thirteen v. Midland eleven at Christchurch on Saturday, DeMaus scored 110, not out. He did not commence well, and was twice missed when he had made about 25, but played very fine cricket in the later stages of the innings. Pavett, playing for Lancaster Park thirteen against Sydenham and Addington thirteen, had 97 (not out) to his credit from the previous Saturday, and was bowled on the resumption of play without adding to the score. 1
