THE MAORI ELECTIONS.
The polling for the four Maori seats will take place ou (Saturday, the 19th insfc. The following are the candidates nominated for the Western Maori electorate :— Ropata Te Ao (sitting member), sWirihana Hunia, Te Aohau Nikitini, Ngarangi Katiha, Tepene Eketone, Henare Kaihau, Hohepa Horomana, Hone Omipi, Reha Aperahama, Wiremu Ngapaki, Te Remana Nutana, Meiha Keepa te Rangihiwinui, and Te Kahili Kararehe. For Eastern Maori electorate the candidates are— Wi Pere (sitting member), Tare Mete, Maika Taruku, Tarnati Tautuhi, and Eriata Nopera. . For the Southern Maori Electorate Messrs. T. P. Mytu, T. Parata, R. Taiaroa, and T. Erihana (Ellison) have been nominated.
