The Australian cricketers left by the Mararoa for Tasmania last night. A match played yesterday at the Basin Reserve between the Bank of New Zealand and the Combined Banks of the city was won by the former by an innings and 116 runs. The Bank of New Zealand scored 212 runs— Cuff, 122; Glasgow, 39; Clark, 16. The Combined Banks made 68 in the first innings and 38 in the second, the chief scorers being— Morrah, 18 j Harden, 20; and Black, 14. Kaiwarra defeated Jobnsonville in a Junior Association match on Saturday by 15 runs on the first innings. Kaiwarra scored 41— W. Crowe, 17 ; Overend, 6 ; and Holmes, 4 not out. Jobnsonville replied with 26 — Yeatts, Picken, and Mijore making 4 each. Crowe, four wickets for 10 runs, and E. Knight, five for 10, did the trundling for the winners, Darmody and J.
