SUDDEN DEATH OF AN ACTRESS.
« [press association.] (Received November 30, 10.35 a.m.) Sydney, This Day. Miss Sadie M'Donald, a prominent member of Hoyt's " Trip to Chinatown " Company, died suddenly on Saturday night after the opening performance of " A Milk-White Flag " at Her Majesty's Theatre. The deceased lady had injured her spine recently during a rehearsal, and this is supposed to have caused her death. [Miss M'Donald hailed from New York, where, as well as in London, she had gained a reputation in musical pieces- of the " Chinatown "order. Besides her acting and vocal gifts she was also a dancer of facility and grace. Miss M'Donald has lately been disabled by spinal trouble, and only resumed playing on Saturday-week.]
