THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN AMERICA. MR. BRYAN CONFIDENT OF SUCCESS.
[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Washington, Bth September. Mr. Bryan, who was selected for the. United States Presidency by the Chicago Democratic Convention, in the course of an interview declared himself convinced that he would be elected. His opponents, on the other hand, say that General Palmer, who was selected by the Democrats of Indianapolis, will cost Mr. Bryan a million votes, and that his candidature will render Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky Republican.
