« A CHIEF COURT-MARTIALLED AND SHOT. WHITE WOMEN HANGED BY THE MATABELE. [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Capetown, Bfch September. The Matabele ohief Makoui, recently captured, was tried by court-martial and, being convioted, was snot. Many waggons lost by the British troops have been recovered in the caves from which the Matabele were driven. It has been discovered that the rebels have hanged many white women since the outbreak of hostilities.
