Hunt Club Cup Steeplechase, two miles and a half.— Seddon, 13st 3lb ; Kaika, Glengarry, 12st 101b; Sir Tatton, 12st 21b; Piseador, I2st ; Shearer, Ulysses, list 101b ; Puketoi, Waiwaima, list 71b; Natatrix, list 31b; Meteor, Lighthouse, Alice, Pyramus, Coastguard, Blunderbuss, list.

The following horses were sold at Hawera recently :— Weka, Mr. J. F. Pease, £18; Kaeaea (Tim Whiffler— Weka), Mr. A. W. Budge, £37 ; Chatterbox, Mr. W. Douglas, 37 guineas ; Cyrus, Mr. J. E. Corrlgan, 20 guineas. Monte Carlo was passed in at 100 guineas and Parnell at 12. Mr. D. M'Leod, of Auckland, has purchased Lord Vivian. At Hastings on Tuesday morning, Tomerangi had the best of a gallop with Lorenzo and Brennan, and Solitaire beat Martyrdom over one circuit. Eangipunehu and Canard both came to grief in a gallop over the small sticks, the former cutting himself badly. Otaieri and Hopeful jumped the big fences splendidly, and The Plug, Lord Eaven, Midas, T Eose, and Zanzibar performed creditably over hurdles, but Valetta rapped them heavily.
