[PRBSB ASSOCIATION.! London, 2nd May. The Australian orioketers have been entertained at a banquet by tbe cricketers of Surrey County. General Marshall, who presided, said the Australians had virtually revolutionised English orioket. He assured the team of a hearty reception wherever it toured. FINAL FOB THE THIRD-CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP. The orioket season oamo to a olose on Saturday, the final for tbe Third-olass Championship and Dixon onp resulting in a win toy tho Kilbirnie seoond eleven by six wickets. The second innings of Karori olosed for 23, of which W. Dasont (captain) mado 9 not out, and Spiers t>. Kilbirnie hit up tbe required 17 runs for the loss of i wickets, Greenfiold contributing 7, and Chapman 4, not out. Greonfield, 5 for 19, C, M'Carthy, 1 for 1, and Chapman, 11 overs 3 runs 4 wiokots were the bowlers for the winners, whose fielding was very good, no extras boing allowed by them in either innings. Spiers, 1 for 7, and Lowe, 3 for 1, bowled best for Karori. Messrs. Millward and Stevens, of the Phconix Club, ably discharged the duties of umpires. The cup presented to the Cricket Association, with the pavilion olook, some fire yearß ago, by the late Mr. Edward Dixon, now becomes the property of the Kilbirnie Crjoket Clnb, who havo won it three times (twice in snocession). Mr. T. Emony, who has led the team for the lust three years, is to be congratulated on the oonspionous suooess that has attended bis efforts as oaptain.
