CYCLING. [P RESS ASSOCIATION.] Sydney, 15th March.

At the League of Wheelmen's Carnival yesterday the attendance numbered 14,000. Several spills occurred during the day, and Pearson reoeived Blight oononsßion of the brain, and M'lnnes was badly bruised. The prinoipal events resulted : — International Soratoh Mile. — Megson (New South Waleß), 1 ; Martin (America), 2 ; Lewis and Payne, dead heat for third plaoe. On entering the home stretch the American waß leading, but Megson came with a desperate spurt and won by two lengths. Time, 2min 27sec. Australian Cup, two miles.— T. P. John- , oon (New South Wales), 160 yds, 1 ; "W. W. Haskins (New South Wales), 120 yds, 2; Chapman, 120 yds, 3. Won by ton yards. Pither (New Zealand) and Payne (New South Wales), who were both on the 15yds mark in the second heat, had a great set-to, Pither winning by half a wheel, bnt he was outhandicapped in the final. First-class Handicap. — Martin, 1; Parsons, 2; Megson, 3. Parsons led into the straight, but the American won on the post af tor a wonderful sprint. Pither and Body (New Zealand) also started. Time, 4min 33^seo. Second-olass Scratch Bace.— Haskins, 1; Phelan, 2 ; Williams, 3. Won by half a wheel. Time, 2min 32seo. Six beats of the Federal Stakeß were contested. In the third heat Parsons and Megson, both on scratoh, had to be content with third and fourth places respectively, being beaten by 40yds men. Pither was ■ second in his heat, whioh Martin won.
