The leadin? colliery proprietors look coldly upon the proposed oonfereuoo, and uruo that experience has proved that many of the oolliories will not honourably obsorvo any agreement. The owners of these, while members of the Assochtion, undersold and stole trade from those loyal to principle. The conference meets to-morrow, but it is generally expected that it wilt prove unsuccessful, and that the negotiations will be abandoned.
