SALES OF STUD SHEEP.
[FBEBS ASSOCIATION. | (Received August 27, 11.20 a.m.) ' Melbourne, Thib Dat. At the annual stud sheep sales chiefly Tasmanion-bred animals were offered. The bidding for merinos was spirited, and prioes generally showed an advance on last year's. The bidding for long-wools was spiritless, and prioes were unsatisfactory. Three of Mr. James Gibbons' Tasmanian-bred rams brought 310, 300, and 170 guineas respectively, ten averaging 4108 18s. One of Mr. W. Gibbons' rams sold at 160 guineas, and one of Mr. J. B. Gibson's~at 130 guineas.
