» " Draper " writes in reference to this week's matoh between the combined Wed* nesday clubs and the Junior representatives, challenging the imputation that the Saturday playeis were not well represented, and stating that the few who were absent were replaced by men very little, if at all, inferior. He also olaims that the display of football was exceedingly interesting and exciting, many of ths spectators averring that it was the best-played game they had seen in the Park this season. As to the insinuation that the Wednesday playera displayed ignorance of the rules, he sajß free kicks were about equally divided. Messrs. Izard and Henderson have been added to the Selootion Committee (Association) for representative matohes. Should Newtown Park be unfit to play on to-morrow, the final in the Association championship will be played at Island Bay under any oiroumsfcuioes.
