'CYCLES IN SOUTH AFRICA.
■ There seems to be an extraordinary craze for 'cycling in South Africa. The Johannesburg Star states that 'cycles are more generally used in that town than probably any other town of .similar size in the world. There are, it adds, some four thousand machines in use by all olasses, from
the head of the mining industry dowi r .o clerks and shop assistants. One firm has sold six Luudrod iv lha lut two years. Ladies are taking t< 'cycling freely, and so are educated Kaffirs.
