Beer, £2 6s 6d Geobge Thoius asd Co. report wholesale produco prices as follows :— Market values are un. altered since lost quoting, and seem to have steadied down to what maybe looked npon as firm quotations for somo little time. We quote— Boiler flour, X' 9 10s for 200's ; bran, 70s ; pollard, !)ss : wnolu fowl wheat, 3a 9(1 ; broken do, 3s 3d to 3s 8d ; primo short oats, 2s ; long do, Is lid ; dnDS, 2s Id ; black tartars, 2s 2d ; oaten sheaf chaff, 7os for best and 65s to 70s for fair quality ; oatmeal, XI) to £9 10s ; whole beans, 3s 2il ; maize, 2s 9d to 2s lid; feed barley, 2s 3d to 2a (id; pearl do, 143 ; bluo peas, 33 2d ; partridge, do, 3s ; split do, 12s 6d cnt; prime tablo potatoes, 50s; fair quality, 455; seed descriptions, including Karly Bose, Flukes, Ashleafs, Lapstones. Breezes, Early Vrrmonts, Beauty of Hebron, ie, are in fair demand, and are quoted at 60s to 90s per ton. Onions hare v slight upward tendency at £5.t0 £5 .--- 10s per ton. Cheese, 4}d; bams and bacon, 6}d ,- bacon, Cd per lb ; eggs, Is 4a to Is 6d per dozen for fresh; fresh separator butter, 9d to lOd; dairy, Sd ; salted samples, from 7d ; fungns, 3jd per lb. Messrs Edwards and M'Beath report wages for lost week as follows: — Married couplet, £70 to £90; carpenters, 10s; bricklayers, 12s; black■miths, 9s to 10s; painters and glaziers, 10s; plnmbers and gasfitters, 9s to 10s; Btoremen, 42s to GOs ; draymen, 42s to 50s ; coachmen, 30s to 35s j grooms, 25s to 355; gardeners, 6s to 8s; farm hands, 15s to 255 ; milkmen, 25s to 27s hotelmeu 20s to 40s ; barmaids, 25s to 30s ; waitresses, 15s to 20s; cooks, 25s to 40s; femalo do, 25s to 355; housemaids, 12s to 20s; general servants, 10s to 14s ; uursegirlg and boys, 7s to 15s. Thero has been a slight improvement this week.
