The following cablegram from London wm reoeyved yesterday by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company :—: — Wool— The tales opened at an average advanoe of about 7J per cent* on last sales' dosing rates. Tho principal advanoe has been in coarse oroßsbreds. The attendance of both Home and foreign buyers is good, and competition batween them is aotivo. The total quantity available, inolndin? wool held over from lait series, is 480,000 bains, . 90,000 bales of whioh have been forwarded to the manufacturing districts direot. Wheat— The market is weak, aud spot quotationß have declined 6d per 4961b since last report. Messrs. Murray, Boberts and Co. have received the following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs. tianderson, Murray and Co., date l 2nd Jnty :— The sales opined with a large attendance of buyers, and aomoetition is brisk. Merino ' wool* have advanced 5 per cent; to 7} pcr 1 cent., . and oroubreds 5 percent, to 10 per oent ,'as oompared with the closing rates of< last series. - ~ r The Hnddart>Parker liner Tasmania left Sydney last evening with a fnll passenger list, 751 tons oargo, and 56 • horses;, .. She comet as nsnal via Auckland, and* is due here on the 12th inst. .
