Large numbers of visitors were present ou the Ellerslie course this morning. Liberator, after traversing one round on the oourae propor, was joined by Esparto, tbe pair putting in a round at racing paoe. Liberator had his companion in trouble at the finish. Ebor and Norton were asso- ' ciated together in a couple of rounds on the same track at their be&t pac. Norton had a deal tho best of th- tiu, lup. Union i Jack und Bulle put in a oouplo of strong I rounds on the tan, Bul'o finishing the better i of tho pair. Kiug John and Variety werii achooled over hurdles, but the last-named jumped very badly. The pony Clayton, engaged in the Pony Hurdle Kaoe, has failed to pass the standard. This morning Ladybird was scratched for the Grand National Hurdle Race. There is very little betting to report. Liberator is receiving good snpport for the double, and 15 to 1 is the best price on offer about him. Ebor and Norton are still quoted favourites, at 12 to 1.
