RESTRICTING THE COAL OUTPUT.
• IPEISS ASSOCIATION.! Paris, 6th June. The British delegates to the International Miners' Conference protested againßt the adoption of the scheme for reducing th<? oatput of coal — by working four days weekly, but expecting five days' pay— as a grave fiscal blunder. They contended that it would be impossible to secure united ootion throughout the world upon it. The French delegates urged that the supply exceeded the demand by 40,000,000 tons. The Congress has appointed a committee to consider the sohein^.
