SWEDEN AND NOEWAY.
I Ab supplementing the information coni tamed in our leading article of yesterday as 1 to the political affairs of Sweden and Norf way, the following extract from the Weekly , Times of 19th April ia of interest :— King > Oscar is said to take a gloomy view of the ' Norwegian orisis, and to nntettain fears . that it may develop into a dangeroun . confliot, in which case he would ■_ probably abdicate. The Ciown Prinor, ' who in such a case would ascend the [ throne, does not entertain friendly feel- ! inga towards Norway, and would certainly I not give way. The Swedish General Staff ' asserts that a military occupation of Norway ' could be carried out without difficulty. In Stockholm, nevertheless, it is aaknowledged that the real difficulties would begin after an occupation had been successfully aooom- ' plished.
