The Hoyal Bank of Queensland is negotiating the issue of .£3110,000 four per cent, deposit Btook to replace English deposits at 4fc per oent. (deceived May 15, 10.30 a m ) London, 14th May. Mr. Keating will have an interview with Mr. Balfour as to the prospects of BiMetallism in the colonies. Mr. Mendell, formerly of Melbourne, reports that there is a better feeling in Scotland regarding Australian bank shares, but it is unlikely that Scotuh creditors will consent to a reduction in the rate of interest, preferring to extend the .period for the repayment of the deposits.
