There is considerable excitement over the Warwick and Leamington election, and confusion between the parties continues. No Conservative candidate will be nominated. Many Conservatives attended and caused a disturbance at a meeting which was being addressed by Mr. Peel, Bon of thg retiring Speaker. It ia probable the Liberal candidate will be elected without opposition. The election for Norfolk (Mid) to fill the vacancy oauaed by the resignation of Mr. Clement Higgins, Q.C., took place to-day. Mr. tfobort T. Gurdon, the Unionist candidate—whom Mr. Higgins (Liberal) defeated at tho general election by 470 votes — was returned by a majority of 208 over Mr. Wilson, tho liberal candidate.
