The Directors of the Wellington Bowling i Club met last night, when a communication . was received from Mr. J. Paul, of the New Plymouth Club, suggesting that an effoit I should be made by the various olubs to send . rinks to Australia next year, to try ooni oluaions with Australian bowlers. _ The i suggestion mot with approval, and it was . resolved to endeavour to carry it into effeot. i An invitation was received from the Pali merston North Club to send up a team of I four rinks to pl*y a match on New Year'i Day. It was decided to accept the invita- [ tion, and ask members to go. [ !BT TELEGRAPH. ] (Our Own Cormpondent.) Palmerston North. This Dat. Bowling matches between the Wanganui and Palmerston North Clubs were played yesterday, and resulted in a win for the visitors by 138 to 103 points. At the conclusion of the match a Champion Sink Match was played, Palmerston winning by 13 points to 6.
