(Received December 13, 10.30 a m.) Melbourne. Thib Day. The second reading of tbo Land and Income Tax Bill was carried in the Legislative Assembly by 43 to 36. The Government hopes to open trade with Japan in live cattle, butter, cheese, fruit, wine, and probably wool. It is intended to discuss the matter at tbe mooting of Premiers in Hobart.
