Now that Xmas is drawing near, preparations arc beiDg made by the jndioious on all aides for a joyful celebration of the festive time. The scene pressnted at Te Aro Honse ia evidence of the popularity of the great Xmas Gift Fair now being held at thia establishment, where crowds of purchasers daily throng the various departments in order to secure the bargains. A glance at the advertisements will give somo idea of what the bargains consist, and additions are daily being made to the stock, bo that an immense choice can always be relied upon, whatever the requirement may be, at Te Aro House. The presents from which customers can make their choice include articles of every description, both useful and ornamental, as well as being specially appropriate to the season. Several cases of these have just been opened, and are now displayed. All our friends are cordially invited to come and make their selection at Te Aro House. — Advt. A tabiett of gymnasium fittings are to be seen in the window of Messrs. Wilkins and Field's establishment in Manners-street. They consist of Boman rings in iron, rope, and wood, trapezes, stretch swings, rope ladders, climbing ropes, and complete sets of fittings in above.
