THE O TTAWA CONFERENCE

Sir Henry Wrixon, speaking 1 at the Colonial Institute, said the significant feature of the Conference at Ottawa wa9 the warm feeling of common brotherhood ovoked by a representative gathering from all branches of the Empire. The improvement! in steam and electricity would soon render possible 'facilities for commnnication enabling a degree of national concentration to be attained which would be calculated to entirely overpower the weakness at present inherent in expansion of the Empire.
