A MEXICAN BULL-FIGHT.
A terrible scene occurred at Zacatecas, in Mexico, at a bull-fight the other day. A bull, which had been goaded to madness, was quicker than the prima espada, and gored the man to death. It then leaped over the barrier, and got among the excited audience. The picadors in attendance were powerless to help the panic-stricken people, and before the bull was fatally stabbed three persons had been gored to death. In the terrified scramble to escape, a large number of people were injured, some so severely that their d eath is expected. Three Municipal councillors of Nimes have already resigned on account of the determination of the Government to put a stop to bull-fighting. It is expected that other resignations will follow.
