THE VOLUNTEERS.

The Herotaunga Mounted Bifles paraded at Mount Cook last evening. There was a, fair muster, under Lieut. Hyde. The company was ezeroised in the usual manoeuvres for upwards of an hour by Lieut. Hyde, Sergeants Capstiok and Or. Fringle, Corporals Brock* lhurat and Pudney. Corporal Wm. Welsh is to be Acting-Sergeant and Private Alfred Hutson Acting-Corporal. Classfiring for the town contingent will take place next Tuesday morning at 4 45, at the cadet rantte, weather permitting. The camp has been postponed till the Bth Febrnary.
