New Zealand long-berried wheat, ex warehouse, quiet, 24s 6d; South Australian wheat, ex warehonso, steady, 255. A South Australian wheat cargo, ex Benmoor, sold at 24s 3d. From 10,000 to 12,000 quarters of South Australian wheat, to be shipped in December and January, sold at 24s 6d. Victorian wheat, ex warehouse, is steady at 24s 6d. Sngar, German beet, is weaker at 9s; Java, quiet at 12s 3d. No. 1 best Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in Clyde, 42s 6d, market quiet. Silver, 2s 4d 7-16 d per oz. At the wool sales there is a good catalogue and bidding has a hardening tendency, in expectation of large withdrawals. Buyers show an increased demand, and for good sorts the bidding is spirited at id to £d above opening rates.
