« The proposed amalgamation of the Petone Cricket Club with the Half-Holiday Club has been carried into effect, tho new club being named the Petone United Cricket Clnb. The officebearers are :— Patron, Dr. Newman. M.H.8.; President, Dr. Whitehead ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs. T. M. Wilford, R. C. Kirk, G. London, T. Oxenham, T. J. Leigh ton, and Dr. Soanlan ; Captain, W. Inglis ; Vice-Captain, H. Arnold ; Committee, Messrs. Pressley, Kelly, Webster, Dixon, Isherwood, bteinmuller, and Farqunarson; Match Committee, Messrs leherwood, Mercer, and Steinmnllnr, to act with the Captain and Vice-Captain ; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. J. H. Lash. A meeting of Kirkoaldie and Stains' Cricket Club wm held on Saturday evening, Mr. J. G. Dawson in the chair. The balancesheet for last season showed a balance to credit. The following officers were elected : — Prebident, Mr. J. Kirkcaldie (re-elected) ; Vioe-Preßidents, Messrs. J. B. Teaed*le (re-eleoted) and J-. J. Wildermoth ; Captain, J. G. Dawaon (re-elected); Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. H. A. Kirkcaldie (re-eleoted) ; Managing and Match Committee, Messrs. J. G. Dawson, H. A. Kirkcaldio, R. 8. Gray, H. W. Kersley, and C. Collins ; Delegates to Drapers' Cricket Association, Messrs. J. G. Dawson and H. A. Kirkoaldie. Mr. H A Kirkoaldie won the Association trophy, presented by Mr. D. R Caldwell ; and tho olnb trophies (both for batting and bowling) were won by Mr. B. 8. Gray. It ,wm announced that Mr. J. B. Teasdale had intimated his intention of presenting a trophy for the coming season. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr. J. Kirkcaldie for his assistance to the club. It was deoided to open the season on the 10th prox. The New Zealand Clothing Factory has presented another trophy to the Rival Club,
