Her hull ia badly damaged, bnt her inner Bkin is not injured. Her forefoot is considerably strained. She iB now lying in Port Sandwioh taking in her guns and stores, and will probably proceed to Noumea in company with the warshipß Orlando' and Wallaroo. The Age says :— The wreck of the Kingarooma, from a pecuniary point of view, will not affeot the colonies contributing to the maintenance of the fleet. Artiole 8 of the Australian Naval Force agreement respecting the Auxiliary Squadron says :— " In the event of any of the vessels being lost, they shall be Teplaoed at the cost of the Imperial Government." It is also understood that the Imperial Government stands all charges in regard to repairs.
