.> . [Bt TaiißQßAPfl.] {Our Own Correspondents.) Mabtebton, This Dat. Mr. Collins, the new manager of the Gas Workß, has arrived, and assumes office on Monday. Fifty licenses havo been issued to anglers in Masterton. The fishing season opened this morning, and a numbor of anglers were out, but no phenomenal bags are reported. Mr. W. C. Cargill, proprietor of the Wairarapa ktar, who is about boing married, was presented by his employes this morning 1 with an illuminated address, and a silver teapot and set of carvers. Caktebton, This Day. Mrs. Kennedy, wife of Donald Kennedy, manager for Mr. W. C. Buchanan, died at Tupurupuru this morning.
