— ♦ — J CITY. Yesterday's polling in the City resulted in tbo ro.eloction of three out of the four 1 retiring; members, namely, Messrs. Willeston (Lamb ton), Barber (To Aro), and Fraaer 1 (Cook), Mr. Levoi suffering defeat at Thorndon. Tho numbers polled in the different wards were as follows :—: — THOBNDON WABD. J. Myers 311 T. Counoillor M'Gregor defeated Mr. A. H. Burton by a majority of 134 for High Ward. Mr. A. Morrison was elected for Bell Ward, polling „ 165 more than Mr. A. S. Adams. a Auckland, 13th September. At the mnnioipal election* Mrs. Matson was returned for the Borough of Paxne'l by a majority of 90. For the Grafton Ward of the oity Mr. W. B.
