Pahiattja, A narrow escape from drowning happened in the Tiraumev River on Saturday. Sutherland, driver for D. Cookburn & Co . of Wakuri, was driving a brake and -four horses across the rivor when he got into a hole, and ono of the horses was drowned, and tho rest would have been only for assistance coming to hand. The driver nho escaped. It will be a great benefit to settlers when the bridge over this river is completed.
