A lifeboat has been deßpatohed to the assistance of the crew. The President of the Bootmakers' Union has announced that the trade is threatened with ruin through outdoor work and sweating; and that all employe's receiving less than the " statement " wages will go out on strike to-morrow morning. Sydney, 2nd September. Owing to the heavy rain the Bioyole Carnival was not resumed yesterday, but was post, poned till Wednesday.
