«. W. White, of the Poueke Club, is unable to leave for the North with Wellington's representative team this afternoon, and his place ha? been filled by H Daore, of the Wellington Club, who ia an honest forward— one who oan be rolied upon to do his work in tho pack. Sacre formerly played for tho Suburt>B Club of Auokland, and represented that district in 1892 against Canterbury, who had no difficulty in Booring 24 points against the Northern team. A match was recently played at Dunedin tbe competing teams being representatives of the Union -Company and the Colonial Bank, the latter, after s. well-contested and open gamo, proving victorious by 6 points to nil. W. Barclay, late of the Selwyn Club, played a capital forward game for the losers. The Selwyn Club wind* up the present season next Saturday, when the members residing in tho Thorndon and Te Aro Wards of the City will meet. The losing side is to provide a supper for the winning fifteen in the evening, and the repast is to take plaoe at the Trocadero. The following are the teams :— Thorndon— D. White, F. Galloway, J.
