Illtreatment of Children. AN OFFICIAL ENQUIRY PROMISED.
I UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.! London, 23rd June. In reply to a question in the House of Commons, the Hon. G. Shaw-Lefevre, President of the Local Government Board said the Government proposed to enquire into the management of the Haokney Training School, one of the nurses in which was this week sentenced to a long term of imprisonment for illtrdating children. He added that in tho meantime the manager hod been suspended.
