The creditors of Beat, the absconding grain-buyer, were informed at a meeting today that the Government will not take any steps to effect the arrest of the debtor nnloas all the costs of tho capture arid return to Timaru, including extradition, if neoessary, are guaranteed by the creditors. The creditors were advised that this was too large an order, and that they should ask the Government to name a fixed sum on the guarantee of which the Government would prooeed. An enquiry was telographed to this effect. As the Buapehu, on which steamer he left Wellington, will reach Kio before anything can be done, tho creditors decided to offer a gnaranteo of -£loo.^ If the Government does not a,ccppt this nothing more will be done. The oreditora thought it unfair that they should bo asked for coats at all, and two oat of tbe si i present refused to sign the guarantee. .^__^_________
