Sib — The reference in a letter in your issue of yesterday to the Ministerial residence on Tinakori-road being let at £5 per month to a certain gentleman wio is about to marry the daughter of one of the Ministers is evidently intended to apply to me. The statement as to my having taken the residenoe is absolutely untrue. If your correspondent had applied to me for information before writing his" offensive and untrue letter, he would have learnt that I had leased the residence of Mr. Maddox in Mulgrave-atreet, pending the erection of my own house in Sydney-street. 1 am, 40., Mauhick F.
