The Chairman said this was surely an extraordinary aotion on the part of a Union — to expel a man who could not pay, for that reason, and so prevent his getting work. Mr. Heaton said tliero might be some explanation. Other Trustees having spokon of tho harshness of the case, it was decided to redeem tho woman's bedding and necessaries, andallow two weeks' rations. The case of a man who was concerned in a recent election petiticn also came up. He lost his employment as a compositor and had to go away to look for work.
