The House of Lords has abandoned most of its amendments to the Parish Councils Bill, but bos re-adopted the amendment relative to the acquisition of land, and has also adopted an amendment by Lord Salisbury to restrict the number of Trustees elected by Parish Charitable Societies. It is regarded as certain that the House of Commons will oppose the amendments, and onoe more return the measure to the Houbb of Lords.
