The Hinemoa, having on board the Postal delegates, left the Bluff immediately after tho arrival of the Rotomahana on Thursday aftetnoon, and had a pleasant run across to Stewart Island, visiting Patterson's Inlet, Half-Moon Bay, before nightfall. She made Dusky Sound early next morning, only to find the weathe.r>. wretohed, heavy rain and thick fog continuing through the several Sounds till Milford was reached, the same afternoon. Though tho party saw few of the sights in that Sound, they were enabled to witness the Sterling and Bowen Falls to perfection, tho latter presenting a magnificent volume of water. Sunday was spent in Breaksca, Doubtful, George, and Dusky Sounds, the Bluff being reached at 7 o'clock this morning. Considering the depressing circumstancs, the party managed to enjoy themselves thorughly, Mr. Ward proving a veritable host in himself, organising conceits and dances, and, assisted by kindred spirits, managing to make things hum pleasantly. At Invercargill, Mr. Raesido took the entire party to the water, tower, whence a fine view of the town was obtained. At 10 they left for Queenstown. proceeding to the head of the lake, and making Dunedin to-morrow night. The party comprise : —Queensland — Post-master-General. Mr. 'Wilson, wife and daughter, and Mr. M'Donnell, Under-Secretary for Telegraphs, and daughter ; New South Wales — Mrs. and Miss Kidd, Mrs. Davies, Deputy Postmaster-General Lambton and daughter, Secretary of Telegraphs Walker and daughter; Victoria—Postmaster-Gene-ral Wynne and Deputy Postmaster-General Smibert and daughter, Mr. Warren, Secretary of the Eastern Telegraph Extension, and two daughters ; South Australia — Dr. Cockburn, Minister for Education, and Sir Chas. Todd, Postmaster-General; Western Australia— Hon. Mr. Parker, Colonial Secretary and Postmaster-General, and wife ; New Zealand— Hon. Mr. Ward and -wife, Mr. Gray and wife, Messrs. Pilcher, Hyde, and Crow, the Hon. Mr. Feldwiok, M.Ij.C, Messrs. Pinkerton, Earnshaw, Morrison, and T. Mackenzie, M.H.E.'s.
