SHOCKING TRAGEDY IN TEXAS.
An extraordinary tragedy, entailing the loss of four lives, is reported from Arlington, Texas. J. Hargrove, with his sons (Walker and George), arrived by train at that place all heavily armed. As they left the the train two men, named Harry Spears and William Smith, suddenly emerged from behind the station and shot Mr. Hargrove, sen., who fell mortally wounded, after which they ran to the other side of the train and shot and killed George. Walker's Winchester rifle ref usiug to work, he ran and got a revolver from his father and killed both Spears and Smith, who fired about a dozen shots at Walker without hitting him. When the train moved, so that the father could see the bodies of Spears and Smith, he raised himself on his elbow and fired several bullets into them. He then fell back and expired. It appears that the tragedy was the result of an old feud, and that the parties had met by mutual arrangement for the purpose of fighting it out.
