ALLEGED MURDER ON HE HIGH SEAS.

'UNITKD PRKSB ASSOCIATION. I LONDON, 29th July. The chief officer and the steward of the ship Dnrbn'djo, arrested in Liverpool on a charge of murdering: Captain Little on het voyage to Newcastle, N.S.W., have been remanded. The particulars are as follow:— On Bth Augußt, 1892, the body of Captain Little was found in his cabin ou the vessel, whioh had arrived at Newcastle a few days before, in ballast, from Rio. The chief witness at the inquest was Jones, the chief Bteward, who deposed that the captain's continued intemperance on the voyage out, and his despondency, had led him sevoral times to attempt suie'do, and that, assisted by the chief officer, witness had locked the cabin to prevent him destroying himself. When the body was found tho mattor was reported to the police, and at the inquest tho jury retnrned a verdict of Suicide through Mental Trouble. ________^,^^
