THE CADMAN-REES LIBEL CASE.

His Honour the Chief Justice, in Chambers this morning, refused Mr. Bees' application for a Commission to take evidence in London in connection with hu case with the Hon. Mr. Cadman, or to postpone too trial beyond the 16th inst., for which date it was originally fixed. £ridence on defendant's behalf will be taken in Wellington, bnt as there is not time for witnesses to be ifot together in Auckland and Christchureh, the Commissions granted for the purpose of talcing thoir evidence will not be required.
