FARMERS ASSOCIATIONS. PROVINCIAL FARMERS' CO-OPERA-TIVE ASSOCIATION.

Tho provisional directors of tho Provincial Farmers' Co-oporativo Assooiation (Limited) mot at Palmorstou North last week, and decided that iho registration of thu Association undor tho Companies Act should bo proceeded with. The memorandum nnd articles of association were approved and executed. Pending tho first genoial meeting, a directorate was set up us follows ;— Messrs. Duncan Mathieson, Alo\. Farmer, and C. W. Grove, of Palmerslon; Alexander Higgio, Wanganui; AValtor H. Cox, Waitotara; W. C. Symes, Patea ; Walter Bewley, Taranaki ; J. B. Rrown, Manukau ; Wm. Udy, Greytown ; and W. B. Mathioson, Ekotahuua. The directors subsequently elected Mr. Bow-ley as thoir Chairman. Thoy also decided to erect a central factory at Palmerston North, which would reccivo its supplies from creameries at Manukau, Shannon, Longburn, Kairanga, Fetlding, Halcombe, Morton, Bunnythorpo, Stonoy Creek, Rangitikei Lino, Pohangina, and Woodvillo. The Seorotary was instructed to arrange for suitable sites, and procure plans and specifications, as far as obta : nablo, from tho Agricultural Department. Canvassers for tho sale of shares, and for obtaining guarantees of milk for tbo crcainorios were appointed as follows : — Messrs. J. D. Cox and K. Mullins, Manawatu ; Mr. C. Crabb, Rangitikci; Mr. Couchman, Wanganui and Waitotara ; Mcssrß. Bono and Morgan, Wairarapa. It was stated that the milk of over 6000 cows has already beon promised, and a promise has beon mado to pnrobaso tho who'.o of the Association's output.
