At the City Guards' competitions on Friday thoro was not a sufficient lnustor of the C Class to count, but in B Class Privato Ferris got a leg-in for tho rifle, Private O'Snllivan coming next. On Saturday A Class fired the sixth competition for the company's belt at Evans Bay, the conditions being ton shots at 300 and 600 yards. The scores were : — 300 600 Tl Corporal Henry 44 38 —82 Private Greenwood ... 37 41 —78 Privato J. Ballinger ... 42 36 —78 Privato Aamodt 3R 39 — 77 Private A. Ballinger ... *i 32 —75 Private M'Caskill 31 31 — 65 Private A. Ballinger, Corporal Henry, Privates J. Ballinger and Greenwood occupy the first four positions in this order. There are two more matches to fire.. The Petone Naval Artillery held a match on Saturday last, the A Class Rhooting on tho Petono range and C Class at Kaiwarra.
