A shepherd named John M'Leod, employed by M'Laven Bros, at tho Pahana, near Martinborougb, wa_3 thrown from a spirited horso aa he was riding into FeatherBton at 9 p.m. on the 28th ult., and lay undiscovered by the roadside until 6 p.m. on tho following day. Ho is in a very bad state, and is now in the Greytown Hospital. Mr. D. Hall, city missionary, desires us to acknowledge many indications of goodwill by letter, cards, and contributions in money from many friends.
